Proper hole preparation, correct backfill, immediate staking, and root ball moisture management are non-negotiable. We follow FL G&S protocols on every installation.
Mulch applied too deep or incorrectly
Volcano mulching kills trees. We apply mulch at 3 inches, kept away from trunks, using approved organic materials that break down and improve Central Florida's sandy soils.
Installation timeline conflicting with construction
Our crews are managed around the GC's schedule — we don't start sod before curbing is done or plant beds while paving equipment is still on site.

Mass planting of Florida-adapted shrubs: Viburnum, Wax Myrtle, Dwarf Fakahatchee Grass, Muhly Grass, Coontie, Simpson's Stopper, Firebush, and Walter's Viburnum.
Mulch Application
Eucalyptus or melaleuca mulch applied at 3-inch depth across all planting beds — suppressing weeds, retaining moisture, and moderating soil temperature in Florida's heat.
Tree Staking & Guying
Proper two-stake and three-wire guy systems installed per Florida Grades & Standards to stabilize newly installed trees through the establishment period.
Erosion Control Planting
Slope stabilization using turf grasses, groundcovers, and native wildflower mixes where specified to control runoff during and after construction.
Warranty Period Monitoring
We stand behind our installations. Warranty periods for plant material survival are included in our contracts, with replacement protocols defined up front.
Post-Install Site Cleanup
Full debris removal, grading cleanup, and initial hand-watering to give every installation the best possible start before irrigation activation.

How It Works
Site Preparation
Grade verification, soil amendment (where specified), weed barrier installation, and bed edging prior to any planting activity.
Tree Installation
Large-caliper trees are located per plan staking, holes dug or spaded, backfilled with appropriate soil mix, and immediately staked to prevent wind rock during establishment.
Shrubs, Groundcovers & Perennials
Mass planting proceeds from back to front — larger shrubs first, then smaller shrubs and groundcovers — ensuring proper spacing as designed.
Sod & Seed
Sod rolls are laid tightly against edging and each other, tamped for soil contact, and cut around beds. Seed or sprig areas are prepared and applied per spec.
Mulch, Staking & Final Cleanup
Mulch is applied at specified depth, tree stakes are set, irrigation is confirmed operational, and the site is cleaned of all debris before handoff.
